Territorians have a little over one month to submit their nominations for the 2005 Northern Territory Sports Awards.

Acting Minister for Sport and Recreation, Paul Henderson, said the 2005 NT Sports Awards was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Territorians on and off the sporting field.

“The 2005 NT Sports Awards is a chance to recognise and celebrate the efforts and achievements of not only Territory athletes and teams, but coaches, administrators, officials and volunteers,” Mr Henderson said.

“Apart from NT Sportsperson of the Year Award, there are eight other categories for nominations.

“I encourage all sporting clubs to look in their ‘own backyard’ and officially recognise those who contribute to NT sport and its success on and off field.”
