Minister for Sport and Recreation, Kon Vatskalis, will today travel to Singapore for the Arafura Games Heads of Delegation Meeting.

 

Co-hosted by the Singapore Sports Council, the meeting will be attended by representatives from each of the 14 member countries of the Arafura Games.

 

“The Arafura Games is a fantastic opportunity to share the Territory’s great lifestyle with our friends in the region,” Mr Vatskalis said.

 

“The meeting will discuss issues such as changes to the Arafura Games charter, team planning for Arafura Games 2007 and the recent expansion of the Games to now include the Oceania Paralympic Championships.”

 

While in Singapore, Mr Vatskalis will also meet with Singapore’s Minister for Energy.
