The Territory Government today announced a $100,000 investment in golfing infrastructure to prepare for a major golf tournament in June this year.
Minister for Sport Kon Vatskalis said the Darwin and Palmerston Golf Clubs will each receive $50,000 to prepare for the Australian Veteran Golfers’ Union National Championships to be held in
“This is another great example of the Territory Government investing in the Territory’s great lifestyle,” Mr Vatskalis said.
“Golf is a great game, enjoyed by people from all walks of life.
“I thank the Member for Sanderson Len Kiely for all his hard work - he has been instrumental in bringing these infrastructure works to these clubs.”
