The Minister for Sport and Recreation, Kon Vatskalis, today announced ticket details for the first ever A-league game in the
Mr Vatskalis said an A-League game is the ideal way to officially open the Darwin Football Stadium.
“The Martin Government has not only delivered on its election promise to construct the $8 million Darwin Football Stadium, we have gone one better and brought two of the best football teams in Australia to the Territory,” said Mr Vatskalis.
“Saturday 28 July will be huge for local football fans and a pre-season home game for Perth Glory as they take on defending A-league champions Melbourne Victory.

“It is fitting to officially open the stadium by hosting the A-league game there. If the public response is positive we will certainly consider hosting future major football games at our fantastic multi purpose TIO Stadium, like we do for international cricket and AFL fixtures.”

Tickets are limited and people are encouraged to get in early to avoid disappointment. Grandstand seats are limited to 1120 tickets with 3580 general admission tickets available.
