Announcing the 2007 NTIS Award Winners
Some of the Territory’s top athletes have been recognised for their sporting achievements at the 2007 Northern Territory Institute of Sport (NTIS) Athlete Awards.
Sport and Recreation Minister, Kon Vatskalis, tonight congratulated the awards winners at a special ceremony held at Sky City Casino.
The Minister delighted to recognise 33 athletes and 23 volunteers from 17 sports.
“The Territory continues to produce fine sporting talent. Our NTIS athletes have shown the discipline, passion and drive to succeed in their chosen sport, “ said Mr Vatskalis.
“These awards provide well deserved recognition for their achievements, and also say thanks to the many volunteers who lend a hand.”
