The “Crusty Demons” are back…

The daredevil’s of motocross are returning to Darwin with the Crusty Demons bringing their thrilling show back to the Top End next year.

Minister for Sport and Recreation, Kon Vatskalis, today jumped on the back of a bike with one of the riders, Steve “Minidog” Mini, to get a taste of Crusty Demons action.

“Territorians love their motor sports - it’s part of our great Territory lifestyle,” said Mr Vatskalis.

“The Crusty Demons are dusty, dangerous and Territorians love them.

“We’re set to host some of the world’s best freestyle motocross riders in 2008 with the Territory Government spending $50,000 to bring the Crusty Demons back to Darwin.

“The Martin Government is delighted to welcome the Crusty Demons back to the Top End for what will surely be an action-packed show.

“The Crusty Demons thrilled their Territory fans in 2005 with a spectacular show before 11,000 spectators at TIO Stadium. I’m told next year’s show will be bigger and better than ever.”

Crusty Demons rider, Steve “Minidog” Mini, said he was looking forward to returning to Darwin for next year’s show.

“I love coming to Darwin and so do the Crusty’s! Our show is going to be huge so be prepared to be blown away!”

Promoter, Michael Porra, said Territorians will be treated to the full international show for the first time.

“The last time we came to Darwin it was a toe in the water, but we were stunned by the reaction to the show from Darwin fans. This time I’m bringing the full international show – more ramps, lights, pyro, the gorgeous Crusty babes plus the best riders in the world including world number one, Nate Adams, and X Games gold medallist, Adam Jones.

“I want to thank the Northern Territory Government for bringing us back to perform. I can promise fans they will be in for the night of their lives.”

Next year’s show will take place at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday 31 May 2008. Tickets will go on sale early in the New Year.
