Three thrillseeking kids are going to be the first to ride the new waterslides at the
Chief Minister
“The names are colourful, suit the individual slides and reflect a real sense of fun,” Mr Henderson said.
“I was absolutely amazed to learn the competition received 2,230 entries – that’s a fantastic reflection of the community getting behind this new experience.”

The Chief Minister will officially open the waterslides on Sunday at 10am.
A whole day of events is planned including face painting, food and drink stalls, a disco dance-off, circus performance and BMX display.
Free bus services on route number 9 travelling from Palmerston Interchange and Casuarina Interchange will operate on Sunday*.
Ms Lawrie said the slides are 14m tall and are moulded from glass-reinforced plastic, mounted on a steel structure.

The red slide is 125 metres long and is a tandem ride with the use of a raft. The blue slide is 105 metres long and the yellow slide is 103 metres long.
