Development One Stop Shop Open For Business

Planning Minister Delia Lawrie said the Development One Stop Shop – which opens today - would speed up development assessment across the Territory by ensuring businesses understand development approval requirements.

Ms Lawrie said the Development One Stop Shop will improve the ease and efficiency of doing business in the Territory with developers to have one contact point for agencies and local government information.

“People will be able to access the services of a Development One Stop Shop planner to help guide them through the development planning process.

The Development One Stop Shop will be formally reviewed at three monthly intervals during the first 12 months of operation with input from participating government agencies, local governments and the development community.

Fortnightly meetings of the Darwin and Litchfield Divisions of the Development Consent Authority will also begin from Friday 3 July.
