“Using energy saving items in the home is a simple way to save money, save power and help the environment,” Mr Hampton said.
“Under the Scheme, householders can claim a 50 per cent rebate of up to $200 on the purchase and installation cost of selected energy saving items.
“The Territory Government’s Energy Smart Rebate Scheme has been in place for almost three months with more than $6000 in rebates already paid back to Territorians.
“To help spread the message about our Energy Smart Rebate Scheme, locally produced commercials will screen across Territory televisions from today.”
Territory households can save more than 1300kg per year of greenhouse gas emissions from their home by using energy smart products such as:
