Seven local projects will help bring Alice Springs to life with a range of interactive and culturally immersive programs.
Member for Braitling, Dale Wakefield announced $112,514 funding for the seven projects as part of Round 1 of the Territory Labor Government’s Live Alice Mparntwe Arts program.
“We are breathing life back into the CBD and bringing our community together in this central space,” Ms Wakefield said.
“This is a further step in transforming and revitalising the Alice CBD, supporting local business and creating Alice Springs as the inland capital of Australia.
“Funding through Live Alice Mparntwe Arts will increase the number of people visiting the CBD, providing a boost to local jobs and enhancing the visitor experience”.
Member for Namatjira, Chansey Paech said the arts and cultural activities will showcase our stories and attract more visitors to our great town.
“We’ve got a really exciting program that caters for all ages,” he said.
“From creative play workshops to a free public cinema screening local stories, there is a great variety of programs that locals and visitors can engage with.”
