The Northern Territory will host the Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC) Biennial Conference in Darwin in October 2020.
More than 400 Indonesian and Australian business executives and government leaders will converge in Darwin next October injecting close to $1 million into the local Territory economy.
Next year’s conference theme is ‘Looking North – Shifting Up a Gear’, highlighting the unique place the Northern Territory has in Australia’s relationship with Indonesia, and with our other Asian counterparts further to the north.
With around 70 presenters, including Indonesian and Australian Ministers, this conference will provide a platform for the Territory to be recognised as the optimal trading partner for our Asian neighbours.
The AIBC is the peak national member-based business association involved with the promotion and facilitation of trade and investment between Australia and Indonesia.
The NT Government assisted the Northern Territory chapter of the AIBC to develop the Northern Territory bid for the 2020 conference in consultation with the Northern Territory Convention Bureau.
