Mobile Food Vans to Park Up in Nature

Office of the Chief Minister

New business opportunities for mobile food van operators to set up in some of the Territory’s most stunning landscapes are now open.

The Territory Labor Government has today released new policy and guidelines for mobile food and coffee vans to operate out of our parks and reserves.

Under the guidelines, operators can apply for a range of options, including single day permits to multi-year opportunities.

The Territory Labor Government recognises the importance of improving customer experience and services at our parks and reserves. They attract visitors, support jobs and keep the economy rolling.

The move is also designed to provide new opportunities for business operators in the Territory, helping them to attract new customers and expand their capabilities.

Quotes from Minister for Parks and Rangers, Selena Uibo:

“Hiking and exploring our beautiful parks and reserves is thirsty work – and nothing beats enjoying a refreshment and a meal with a view.

“We are constantly looking at new ways to highlight our natural landscapes because we know how important they are for our economy and for local jobs.

“Having extra services in our parks and reserves will make people stay longer and enjoy everything we have to offer.”
