The NT Planning Commission has completed Stage 2 consultation for the draft Central Palmerston Area Plan, and the Consultation Report is now available on the NT Planning Commission website www.planningcommission.nt.gov.au.

Update on declaring and revoking hotspots for travel to the NT

The Chief Health Officer has declared all of South Australia as a hotspot for the purposes of travel to the Northern Territory, effective immediately. This follows on from an outbreak that has occurred in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and has grown overnight to include 17 positive COVID-19 cases.

Positive COVID-19 case update

There have been five new positive cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Northern Territory since 5pm on 12 November 2020. All of these cases relate to repatriation flights into the Northern Territory. All patients remain under the care of the AUSMAT team at the Centre for National Resilience.

The NT Chief Health Officer has confirmed that Mitchell Shire will be revoked as a hotspot from 12.01pm on Friday 13 November 2020. This means that people arriving in the Northern Territory from Mitchell Shire will no longer have to undertake mandatory supervised quarantine. Anyone currently in mandatory quarantine from Mitchell Shire will be able to exit. Mitchell Shire includes the towns of Broadford, Kilmore, Seymour, Tallarook, Pyalong and Wallan.

A 32 year old female who arrived on the repatriation flight from London on Sunday 8 November 2020 has tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.
