The NT Government and NT Opposition are supporting the Australian Red Cross Appeal for victims of the Indonesian tsunami the by encouraging public servants to donate to the recovery effort.
The NT Government is donating $10,000 to the appeal to assist in the aftermath of the Sulawesi tsunami, which has so far claimed the life of more than 800 people and left hundreds more without a home.
Government employees can donate through the NT Government’s “payroll giving” via the internal Government payroll system.
Donations are not only tax deductable they will fund relief supplies for those who have lost everything.
The National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre remains on standby to deploy a team to Indonesia at the request of the Australian Government.
