Alice Springs’ Albrecht Oval and Traeger Park are set to host an action-packed weekend of cricket and family fun as part of the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League matches and activities from today until Sunday 13 January. 

The Adelaide Strikers take on the Perth Scorchers on Saturday and Sunday at 9.30am at Albrecht Oval, and the community is bound to enjoy the host of activities planned around the weekend’s games.

This afternoon from 3pm to 5pm, ASCA Women’s and Girls players are invited to the Strikers’ training session at Traegar Park. Members of the public are welcome to attend the training session as spectators. 

Blast Squads will be held on both Saturday and Sunday at Albrecht Oval, giving 22 young Territorians per match the chance to become involved in an on-ground activity where they will received a signed cap from a WBBL player before the game starts.

There be a whole host of other family activities including face painting, mascot appearances, give-aways and signing sessions, and Territorians are encouraged to get out and make the most of this fantastic weekend of sport.

Gates open at 8am on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday.
