Big Names Revealed in Territory Tribute’s Overture To Peace Program

Office of the Chief Minister

Territorians are being urged to reserve their seat for Overture to Peace, a commemorative concert on the eve of Anzac Day as part of the inaugural Territory Tribute military festival.

Territory Tribute is a series of events that will position the NT as the ultimate military pilgrimage destination in Australia, bringing visitors to the Territory during the shoulder tourist season.

Part of Turbocharging Tourism, the Territory Government is investing more than $1.9 million in Territory Tribute, which runs from the Bombing of Darwin commemoration on 19 February through to Anzac Day and includes an International Military Writer’s Festival, Last Post ceremonies and more.

Overture to Peace will take the audience on a moving journey, honouring Australian military history and highlighting the Territory’s unique military story.

It will be directed by John Foreman OAM and feature Human Nature, Dami Im, Marina Prior and the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. Other local performers and representatives from the Defence Force and Larrakia Nation will be announced soon.

Tickets are free, but must be reserved ahead of the concert as only 5000 seats are available. The event will take place on Anzac Day eve at TIO Stadium from 7.30pm to 9pm.
