Zuccoli Primary School Reaches Major Milestone with Principal Appointed

Office of the Chief Minister

The fast-tracked new government school at Zuccoli has reached a major milestone, with the appointment of principal Carolyn Edwards.

Ms Edwards has led the northern suburbs’ Henbury School for the past 10 years and has twice been awarded Principal of the Year at the NT Teaching Awards.

The new Zuccoli Primary School principal commences her position tomorrow, and will play a pivotal role in determining the year level offerings for Term 1, 2020, when the school is due to open.

Construction is well advanced on Stage 1 of the school, which includes a preschool with capacity for 88 students and eight primary school classrooms with capacity for more than 200 students.

The $29 million project is being built in two stages. Halikos Construction won the first stage, currently under construction, while tenders are being assessed for the second stage.
