STATEMENT - LAMBLEY MUST STOP ATTACKING HARD WORKING POLICE

Office of the Chief Minister

The Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services Nicole Manison stands with the Northern Territory Police Association in condemning  Robyn Lambley’s outrageous attacks on Police Auxiliary Liquor Inspectors (PALIs).

The Member for Araluen has continually attacked PALIs since they were introduced by our Government to fight alcohol-fuelled crime and violence.

This week she used Parliament to single out an officer.

The Territory Labor Government supports the 75 PALIs as they do a tremendous job tackling alcohol-fuelled violence in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Katherine.

They should be praised, not attacked, because their efforts are working – alcohol-fuelled crime and violence in the Territory is at a 10-year low.
