Minister for Public Employment, Gerry McCarthy has announced the appointment of a new Commissioner for Public Employment.

Ms Vicki Telfer has more than 20 years public sector experience, most recently as the Deputy Secretary People Strategy in the NSW Treasury Department.

Ms Telfer has a Master of Administrative Law and Policy, a Master of Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Science and Graduate Diploma in Education.

Appointed following a national recruitment process, Ms Telfer will formally commence in the role on 2 September. Ms Telfer replaces former Commissioner, Craig Allen, who served the Northern Territory Public Sector with distinction.
