Driving Visitation: BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown 2020 Dates Announced

Office of the Chief Minister

One of the Territory’s most popular events, the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown will be held at Hidden Valley from 17 July to 19 July 2020, boasting a brand new program for motorsports fans of all ages.

Now in its 23rd year, the annual event attracts thousands of local residents and interstate visitors and next year will include the Northern Territory’s biggest drag race event ‘Nitro Up North’ on Saturday 18 July.

The Territory Labor Government is investing $3 million into the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown, which attracts around 40,000 spectators from around Australia and injects $16 million into the local economy every year.

The date change is due to a calendar refresh for the Supercars program that provides even breaks between events, and an opportunity for teams and motorsports fans to spend more time in the Northern Territory.

Fans are being urged to stay tuned for further announcements, including the headline acts for the Race and Rock Concert and other unique on-track action next year.

This year’s BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown attracted over 36,000 attendees and continues to be a major drawcard for visitors to the Territory, with the 2020 event expected to be one of the biggest yet.
