Creating Jobs: Minister for Primary Industry and Resources Promoting the NT in Japan

The Minister for Primary Industry and Resources will be travelling to Japan today to strengthen existing relations between the Northern Territory Government and Japan.

While in Japan, Minister Kirby will attend a key industry conference, the Australia-Japan Joint Business Conference (AJJBC).

Minister Kirby will meet with:

  •  Osksa Gas – Mr. Takeshi Matsui, Executive Vice-President and Head of International Energy and Resource Business Unit and Mr. Tasuo Ryoki, Chairman of Osaka Gas (Australia); and
  • INPEX – Mr. Seiya Ito, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Senior VP Ichthys Project, and Mr. Jiro Okada, Vice-President Ichthys Division.

The Minister will also visit Mitsubishi, METI and JOGMEC to explore opportunities between these organisations and the Northern Territory.
