Driving Visitation: Tickets On Sale for Red CentreNATS 2020

Office of the Chief Minister

Tickets are now on sale to one of Australia’s premier automotive events, Red CentreNATS returning to Alice Springs from 4 to 6 September 2020.

In 2019, Red CentreNATS generated $5.4 million into the Territory economy, with $4.1 million spent in Alice Springs and a further $1.3 million across the Territory.

This year over 3,000 visitors headed to Alice Springs for the event and which translated into more than 22,000 visitor nights in the Northern Territory.

The 2019 ‘festival of wheels’ attracted a record-breaking 861 entrants and 16,468 attendances.

Red CentreNATS will return in 2020 for its sixth iteration, with tickets remaining at 2019 prices; $50 for a three-day Chrome Pass and $30 for a General Admission Day Pass.

Attendees are encouraged to follow Red CentreNATS on social media and check the website early next year for updates.

Submissions are now open to enter your wheels for next year’s Red CentreNATS. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.redcentrenats.com.au.

Quotes from Minister for Tourism, Sport and Culture, Lauren Moss:

“We are investing in our major events because we know they bring visitors to the Territory, money into the economy and support jobs across a range of industries.

“Red CentreNATS attracts large numbers of visitors to the Territory from across Australia and this year, the event has generated over five million dollars for our economy, with just over four million dollars directly into the pockets of Alice Springs businesses.

“The countdown is on for the biggest and best Red CentreNATS yet, and with tickets now on sale, the 2020 festival is shaping up to be another great three days of family fun and action.”

Quotes from Member for Braitling, Dale Wakefield:

“Red CentreNATS is a staple in the Northern Territory’s calendar of events, and each year we look forward to checking out the hundreds of vehicles that descend upon the town over the action-packed weekend.

“It’s great to see the number of interstate visitors travelling in their vehicles and driving around our town each year – it’s a pretty unique event for the whole family to enjoy, and gives a strong boost to our local economy.”

Quotes from Summernats Co-owner, Andy Lopez:

“We’re excited that tickets are now on sale for Red CentreNATS today. They’re the same price as this year which is a bargain, especially as next year’s festival on wheels is shaping up to be bigger yet again.

“I’d encourage everyone to get their tickets early so as to not miss out on what is expected to be another fantastic event. Red CentreNATS is a real highlight for many car lovers across Australia and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone back in Alice Springs next year.”
