Territory Proud – October Business Month Roadshow Launches

Office of the Chief Minister

The Territory Labor Government is delivering a Territory grown October Business Month (OBM) packed with presentations, workshops and networking events to further support small businesses across the Territory.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s OBM will be delivered through a refreshed format with a focus on helping Territorians navigate through today’s unique economic and businesses challenges.

The OBM program structure – which will consist of over 100 workshops by locals for locals – will be delivered as a hybrid roadshow across the Darwin, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek regions.

Some key highlights will include inspiring Territory success stories from a diverse range of Territory business owners and entrepreneurs - along with social media and e-commerce workshops, business planning workshops and presentations highlighting the economic outlook for Australia and the Northern Territory.

OBM kicks off in Nhulunbuy on 1 October and wraps up in Darwin with a week-long symposium style event.

“When COVID-19 hit, we acted quickly to save lives and save jobs – and it this swift action that has allowed us to reopen our economy sooner and begin to rebound.

“Initiatives like the October Business Month are more important than ever to help support, inspire and continue to grow our great Territory businesses.

"With a diverse range of workshops and seminars on offer, I encourage all Territorians to check out whats on in their local area."
