Still Time to Apply For a Community Benefit Fund Grant

Territorian community groups and not-for-profit organisations have until the end of this month to apply for a Community Benefit Fund grant.

Community Benefit Fund grants have a proven track record of helping community organisations increase their capacity, deliver services and upgrade facilities.

This round of funding includes Major Community Grants and Community Event Grants.

Major Community Grants provide funding of up to $250,000 to provide services leisure activities and opportunities for Territorians while Community Event Grants provide up to $250,000 to support major community events.

The Territory Labor Government has already awarded $4.4 million in Major Community Grants to 38 community organisations this year.

Alice Springs Netball Association used their $250,000 grant to upgrade their outdoor Netball Courts at the Pat Gallagher Netball Centre.

Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Nhulunbuy used their $30,000 grant to replace the hall roof.

The Community Benefit Fund is based on money raised by levies imposed on electronic gaming machines in licensed hotels in the Northern Terriory.

Applications for a Community Benefit Fund grant close on 31 August 2021.
